Plant Fitter / Engineer

Job Overview
We are a Concrete Pump Hire Company seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Fitter / Engineer to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing plant equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills within a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
• Fabricate and modify components using welding, soldering, and assembly techniques.
• Interpret technical diagrams and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
