Job Summary
The Plant Manager – is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and management of floor shop and facility to ensure high efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role ensures optimal utilization of resources, timely and quality order processing, material handling, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement of factory workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily factory operations floor shop, machine job card, including inbound activities, outbound activities, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement operational process and line to maximize productivity and optimal utilization of resources.
- Oversee floor shop planning, Manpower control, stock audits, analysis, and ensure 100% accuracy in all reports & records.
- Monitor KPIs such as order turnaround time, production time variance, production capacity, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, statutory compliance, and quality standards.
- Maintain all machines & equipment’s and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are strictly followed.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless material flow.
- Plan workforce schedules and manage manpower deployment across shifts, annually and quarterly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen) to elevate operational performance.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Manage relationships (employees, client’s, transporters, packaging suppliers, equipment vendors).
- Train and develop staff, focusing on skills enhancement, safety, and productivity.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (Engineer & MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in plant management or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience with automated systems, ERP/WMS platforms.
