Role Overview :
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements, while driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and monitor overall production activities and daily operations to meet business targets.
- Oversee complete production processes including nutrition addition, harvesting, washing, homogenization, spray drying, and packing.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, GMP guidelines, Quality Policy, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintain production department, premises, utilities, and equipment in compliance with SOP and GMP norms.
- Ensure equipment qualification, utility validation, documentation, and maintenance of accurate records.
- Review, approve, and maintain Batch Production Records (BPR) and Batch Control Records (BCR).
- Implement and manage change control processes; investigate deviations, OOS, and non-conformances in coordination with the QA team.
- Participate in market complaint investigations and ensure effective CAPA implementation.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and timely resolution of breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements within the production department.
- Identify training needs and ensure adequate training of production staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, QC, Engineering, Supply Chain) for smooth operations and resource planning.
- Support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Drive process improvements, productivity enhancement, cost optimization, and efficient utilization of manpower and resources.
- Ensure timely completion of production targets, documentation, and adherence to schedules.
