Plant Operator / road sweeper driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a class2 HGV road sweeper, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a focused background experience in commercial driving, particularly those familiar with johnston range of road sweepers. The Operator will play a vital role in supporting our contract onsite on Day work adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Duties

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators and other plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage the unloading, and transportation of materials using commercial driving skills.
• Monitor plant operations, adjusting controls as necessary to maintain site cleanliness
• Compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Qualifications / Training

• Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, particularly sweepers would be a strong point for immediate job recruitment. TRIANING CAN & WILL be given to the ideal candidate.
• Patience on site driving / yard movevents 5mph / repetitive work
• Valid driving licence Class 2 NOT required but plant operators skills preferred .
• Prior experience in a plant or industrial environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks associated with machinery operation.
