Avesoro Group is a gold-focused mining company operating in West Africa. We are looking for a
Plant Shift Engineer
to be assigned to our Process Department at New Liberty Gold Mine in Liberia.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise local and expat personnel within the shift, both technically and administratively,

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and gold security procedures; monitor implementation,
-
Participate in toolbox talks and on-the-job trainings; identify and report training needs,
-
Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); prepare and follow up Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for non-standard tasks,
-
Maintain housekeeping and organize proper disposal of used materials and waste,
-
Lead the shift operations; act as the most senior responsible person during night shifts,
-
Monitor process parameters, report deviations, and ensure continuity of plant operations,
-
Track consumption of grinding media and chemicals; report abnormal usage to supervisors,
-
Monitor and report performance of crushers, mills, leach circuits, gravity, INCO, and tailings operations,
-
Coordinate with laboratory, maintenance, ROM pad, gold room, TSF, and other relevant units,
-
Check water levels in critical areas to minimize weather-related operational risks,
-
Prepare end-of-shift production reports and ensure proper shift handover,
-
Remain open to temporary or permanent assignments at other company sites, domestically or internationally.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in
Mining Engineering
or
Mineral Processing Engineering
from a recognized university, A postgraduate degree is a plus but not required.

Experience:
0–5 years of relevant work experience in mineral processing operations or gold plants.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of plant process flow and key equipment (crusher, mill, gravity, leach, INCO, etc.),ability to prepare and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSA).

Soft Skills
Strong team leadership and coordination skills, high attention to detail and operational discipline, ability to work in multicultural, shift-based environments, Proactive, responsible, and safety-focused.

Additional Requirements:
Advanced English (written and spoken), Valid Class B driver’s license (or international equivalent), Willingness to relocate to Liberia and work on a rotation.
