JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF PLANT SUPERVISOR
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise daily activities of staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assign tasks and duties to team members based on workload and skills.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, support, and guidance.
- Handle attendance, scheduling, and shift planning.
- Maintain a positive work environment.
- Motivate team members to achieve targets.
- Address conflicts and maintain team harmony.
2. Training & Development
- Train new employees on processes, safety rules, and company policies.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs.
3. Performance Monitoring
- Evaluate employee performance regularly.
- Conduct feedback sessions and prepare performance reports.
- Address underperformance and implement improvement plans.
4. Operational Oversight
- Ensure daily operations run efficiently and according to company standards.
- Monitor workflow and suggest improvements for efficiency.
- Coordinate between departments to solve operational issues.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all staff follow company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain workplace safety and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
- Report hazards, accidents, and violations to management.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records of attendance, performance, production, or sales.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management.
- Document incidents, complaints, or disciplinary actions.
8. Communication
- Act as a bridge between staff and upper management.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and updates to the team clearly.
- Hold team meetings and briefings.
9. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
- Resolve daily operational problems quickly.
- Make decisions related to staffing, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Provide solutions to challenges affecting productivity.
10. Quality Control
- Ensure work output meets quality standards.
- Monitor processes to avoid errors or delays.
- Implement corrective actions where needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in plant or production supervision
- Strong communication & leadership skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
