Plant/Wagon fitter

A highly competitive salary will be given to the successful candidate depending on experience.

We are an established family run firm on the outskirts of York City Centre and we are currently looking to recruit a plant fitter to fill our position in our expanding workforce. We service York and the surrounding areas mainly, however sometimes work further afield would be required.

We have a fleet of new and up-to-date plant machinery, plant equipment and wagons.

The candidate must be mechanically minded, no formal qualifications required.

Duties to include:

- Performing pre-delivery checks

-Preforming service and maintenance of plant machinery

-Servicing and maintenance of vans/ wagons

-Working as part of a supportive team with good communication skills

-Upkeep of service and maintenance records

Experience:-

- Previous experience as a fitter, Agricultural fitter or in a similar role

- Familiarity with various types of welding equipment and techniques

- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39.0 per week
