Platform/Infrastucture Engineer (DevOps/Hosting/Systems/Server Engineer)

We are looking to replicate what Dreamhost did with wordpress 1 click install, but with our special configuration of OpenClaw at our office in Troy, MI.

Since March 2026, we have been rate limited by our VPS and want to in-house our servers. Our newest customers are law offices, doctors offices, private equity, political orgs(both sides), insurance companies, real estate, and engineering companies.

Historically Kirk Automations made CAD Automations for engineering companies, but we are adjusting to the new norm of AI Agents being proficient (enough) at programming.

We've made our own 'special sauce' of OpenClaw that allows non programmers to build safe, full stack apps that is tested with vision and minimal feedback. It has been an easy sell to small businesses and we need to scale.

The job:

>We need to pick out server hardware. We are thinking refurbished 64gb ram servers.

>We need 'snapshots' of servers, easy claude API changes, a secure root pass, an easy way to save a broken server(OpenClaw breaks things), 1 click install/snapshot, security, and a way to propagate changes.

Prior to OpenClaw we were managing ~15 servers, but we are quickly seeing this is going to be managing 100+ servers.

Maybe this is a tall order, but it needs to get done.

Consider this job is a few hours a week and a lottery ticket. You cannot pay your mortgage with this job, but you might be able to buy a fancy car.

Pay: $15.00 - $85.00 per hour
