A leading real estate development company is seeking a highly motivated and experiencedPlaza Manager to lead the successful handover and operational launch of a premium newoutdoor plaza, and manage its day-to-day operations. This position requires a proactiveleader who can coordinate between departments during the pre-opening stage and ensure asmooth transition into full operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Opening Act as the main on-site coordinator during the handover, working closely with theProject Development Department (PDD) and Operations & Maintenance Department toensure all common areas and facilities are ready on time for tenant access. Support the recruitment and onboarding of plaza staff prior to opening. Oversee and enforce tenant fit-out guidelines, ensuring compliance with design, safety,and quality standards. Coordinate tenant access for fit-out works, ensuring adherence to security andoperational procedures. Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security, cleaning,and maintenance in coordination with the Operations & Maintenance Department. Coordinate the finalization of vendor contracts for services such as security, wastemanagement, and cleaning. Assist the Marketing and Leasing teams in site visits, unit readiness updates, and pre-opening promotional activities.Permanent Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day plaza operations, ensuring efficiency and a positive customer andtenant experience. Serve as the on-site representative, managing tenant relations and addressingoperational issues promptly. Ensure compliance with plaza policies and safety regulations. Support tenant onboarding processes, lease renewals, and the resolution of tenantconcerns. Collaborate with the Rental Manager to manage lease agreements and ensurecompliance. Oversee rent collection and coordinate with Finance & Rental teams for timelypayments. Coordinate with the operation and maintenance department to ensure high operationalstandards.
Review and enforce security protocols and emergency response procedures. Work closely with the Marketing Manager to attract reputable brands and enhance thetenant mix, while supporting efforts to retain and strengthen relationships with existingtenants. Support marketing initiatives, including events, promotions, and campaigns to boostfoot traffic.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Facilities Management, or arelated field. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in mall or plaza management, including pre-openingexperience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety, security, and fit-out protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
