Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create and implement PLC programs for new and existing systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC hardware and software, collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.
- System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and updates to PLC systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to implement system enhancements and optimize performance.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on PLC systems and functionalities, enhancing team knowledge and operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: Proven experience as a PLC Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of PLC hardware and software, including programming languages such as ladder logic.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with industrial control systems, automation standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges effectively.
