Plumber

The Williston Northampton School, an independent co-educational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, has a full-time, Monday through Friday calendar-year opening for a Plumber. Some weekend, urgent or special event coverage as necessary.

The plumber will be responsible for assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings, fixtures, controls, and equipment of HVAC, water, and drainage systems, conforming to local codes. The plumber will also be responsible for completing applications for permits. Assist other tradesmen and Facilities co-workers, when necessary, as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate must: have multiple years of institutional experience preferably in an educational setting; be able to work intuitively and independently as well as part of the Facilities team; have strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities as situations arise in fast paced environment; have the ability to understand written and oral instruction; have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in order to successfully interact with diverse staff, faculty, students and other constituents of the School; be able to work in secondary boarding school atmosphere by successfully passing state mandated CORI, SORI and fingerprint based background checks; possess a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a post offer employment physical.
