Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles combined with mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in diverse environments. Duties
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
- Diagnosing issues within plumbing systems through mechanical knowledge and basic math calculations.
- Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repair projects.
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Assisting with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or repairs.
- Operating commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment when necessary.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing work with a solid understanding of plumbing systems and related mechanical principles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of carpentry skills beneficial for certain installation tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations or repairs.
- Experience with commercial driving preferred but not essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
