Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in a residential settings mainly for Insurance work. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our clients' plumbing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation and repairs
  • Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
  • Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Skills

  • Proficiency in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
  • Experience with welding and the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of carpentry principles for fitting fixtures and structures
  • Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
  • Competence in assembly work related to plumbing components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
