Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in a residential settings mainly for Insurance work. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our clients' plumbing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation and repairs
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Experience with welding and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of carpentry principles for fitting fixtures and structures
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
- Competence in assembly work related to plumbing components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
