Plumber / Heating Engineer

Location: Swansea & The Gower Peninsula
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £20–£24 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Reports To: Site Managers & Contracts Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Plumber / Heating Engineer to join our growing team working across high-end luxury homes and commercial projects throughout Swansea and the Gower Peninsula.

The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of plumbing and heating installation works to a high standard across both residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for someone professional, presentable, organised, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Due to the nature of the projects and clients we work with, maintaining exceptionally clean and tidy work areas and conducting yourself professionally at all times is absolutely essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out first and second fix plumbing and heating installations
• Install and maintain hot and cold water systems
• Install boilers, heating systems, sanitary ware, bathrooms, kitchens, pipework, and drainage systems
• Carry out plumbing and heating works on renovations, refurbishments, and new build projects
• Test, inspect, and sign off completed plumbing and heating works
• Ensure all gas works are completed in line with current regulations and standards
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs where required
• Work on high-end residential properties and commercial spaces to a high standard
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and health & safety standards
• Maintain exceptionally clean and tidy work areas at all times
• Conduct yourself professionally and respectfully on all sites and around clients
• Work closely with site managers and other trades on site
• Identify and report any issues or additional works required
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and looked after properly

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber / Heating Engineer
• Must hold valid Gas Safe certification
• Must be qualified and competent to test, certify, and sign off completed projects
• Relevant plumbing and heating qualifications essential
• CSCS card preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
• Professional, presentable, and respectful attitude
• Clean and tidy workmanship is an absolute must
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work
• Good timekeeping and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
