Plumber and Gas Engineer

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance, as well as servicing and working on gas appliances and central heating systems. This role requires solid technical knowledge, strong fault-finding skills, and a high standard of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain domestic plumbing systems, including pipework and fixtures.
Service, diagnose, and repair gas appliances and central heating systems.
Carry out gas safety checks and issue relevant certification in line with Gas Safe regulations.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current building regulations and gas safety standards.
Keep accurate records of completed works, including documentation and compliance certificates.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring minimal disruption to customers and leaving sites safe and tidy after work is completed.

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
Valid Gas Safe Registration.
Proven experience working with domestic plumbing and heating systems.
Good understanding of UK gas regulations and health & safety requirements.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK driving licence (required).
Must have own tools and power tools.
Ability to work independently as well as work alongside other team members.
