Plumber and Heating Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

This role is for someone looking for self-employed contractual work.

Duties

• Installing and repairing pipes, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with safety standards and building codes
• Diagnosing plumbing issues through inspection and testing
• Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks
• Performing routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future problems
• Reading technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
• Assisting with the assembly of plumbing components and systems
• Conducting heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required
• Collaborating with team members on complex projects to ensure timely completion
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times

Experience

• Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair work
• Knowledge of welding techniques and the use of welding equipment is desirable
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, carpentry, and basic maths for measurements and calculations
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Valid driver’s licence
• Prior experience working in commercial or industrial settings is preferred
