Plumber Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber Technician to join our dynamic team. We will train further if needed but expect you to have at least basic plumbing skills. In this role, you will be responsible at first for aiding and assisting our master plumber in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various locations. When ready you will go out in one of our trucks on your own as well as in conjunction with other plumbers. At this time, your hourly wage will become a wage plus commission position. You will be responsible for sales and have excellent customer service communication skills. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing components are correctly assembled, functioning efficiently, and meet all safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial remodels, residential updates, to new builds, and emergency service calls, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment on commercial and residential sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and welding tasks to assemble plumbing components according to specifications.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or faulty connections; troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate work schedules and ensure seamless integration with other trades such as carpentry or HVAC.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for system testing, pressure checks, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
• Assist in remodeling projects by dismantling old systems and installing new plumbing fixtures with precision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing or related fields with hands-on work on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques including pipe threading, schematics reading, and system assembly.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and general mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site access and material transport.
• Handyman experience or background in remodeling projects is advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
