Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and gas systems across a variety of commercial and residential sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a solid technical background in plumbing, gas engineering, and related mechanical trades. Duties
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Conducting gas installations and servicing gas appliances in compliance with legal requirements.
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repairs.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults using technical knowledge and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Assisting with the assembly of plumbing components and related systems on-site.
- Ensuring all work adheres to health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Maintaining detailed records of work completed for client documentation and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing and gas engineering roles within commercial or residential settings.
- Certification or recognised qualification in plumbing or gas engineering is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and system diagnostics.
- Experience with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair activities.
- Valid driving licence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
