Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and pipefitting techniques, along with the ability to interpret schematics and work with a range of tools and welding methods. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques suitable for <LOCATION> welding standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify faults or potential issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex plumbing or mechanical problems as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, pipefitting, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to plumbing installations and repairs.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installation or repair work.
- Competence in assembly processes involving pipes, fittings, valves, and related components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
