Plumber/pipefitter

Looking for a self employed plumber to work on a 2 month contract in bedford.
Possibly could run longer.
£250-£275 per day, 5 days a week.

Removing unvented cylinders and installing floor mounted water heaters in blocks of flats.
Electrician wires them up.

All pipe and materials supplied.
No hot work, everything is pressfit.
Having your own press tool is desirable, otherwise a £25 per day contribution is required to hire one.
Will need a van and hand tools.
Able to pass a DBS check.
CIS 20% stopped at source, paid weekly.

The new units are about half the size of a washing machine though they weigh 150kg so can be tricky and hard work to maneuver.
Lifting equipment is provided for lifting but need to be physically able to kind of rock them into place on/off the lifter and into kitchen cupboards on different types of floors-screed is the worst, really struggles to slide but luckily its only in some of the cupboards.
Need to be open here as its not easy to push a 150kg box about with no grip handles on.
I have been doing 2 a day for the past 6 months so will meet you onsite to go through everything step by step.
I will show you how to do an install-mixing valve, expansion vessel locations etc then watch you do the next one.

The work consists of:
Attend the unit in clophill around 7am to load the 2 water heaters, pipe and fittings for the day into your van.
Theres one other plumber on this job and he usually takes the big electric sack barrow in his van to site.
You need to be physically strong because even pushing these units on the sack barrow from the arpark to the the flats can be hard
Head to site near town centre.

Get there around 8am- usually done by 3pm.
Do the installs, theres not much pipework I get that bit done in about an hour
Lag the pipes
Refit 1 shelf above new units.
Make good the small hole made by electrician altering spurs-just needs a bit of filler
