Plumbers Helper/Apprentice

You will be involved in various tasks on construction sites, assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.

Duties

• Assist licensed plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand plumbing layouts.
• Utilize basic math skills to measure and cut pipes accurately.
• Participate in field service calls to troubleshoot plumbing issues at customer locations.
• Help maintain tools and equipment used on job sites.
• Support the construction team by ensuring all plumbing work is completed according to safety standards and regulations.
• Learn to weld and build plumbing fixtures as needed.
• Perform general maintenance person tasks as required on job sites.

Skills

• Basic understanding of schematics related to plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Experience or willingness to learn about field service operations.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus but not required.
• Ability to plumb effectively under supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Knowledge of construction site protocols and safety practices.
• Skills in welding are advantageous for specific tasks within the role.
• A general maintenance person aptitude is beneficial for varied job responsibilities.
