Plumbers Mate 2 days a week

Only apply if you’re doing a full time plumbing course 3 days a week and are between the ages of 16-19. We are not looking for people who have done an intense 6 week course.

Must be based within St Albans, Radlett, Borehamwood, bricketwood or surrounding areas

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Plumber’s Mate to join our growing team 2 days a week (and 5 days a week during term times), with the opportunity to progress into a full apprenticeship starting in September. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the plumbing and heating industry.

You will work alongside experienced engineers across a wide range of projects, including general plumbing, boiler installations and servicing, property refurbishments, and full bathroom installations. The role offers excellent exposure to both domestic and renovation work, providing a strong foundation of practical skills.

Key responsibilities include assisting with installations and repairs, preparing and maintaining tools and materials, supporting on-site work, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. You will gain valuable experience in pipework, heating systems, bathroom fitting, and general maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, punctual, eager to learn, and able to work well as part of a team. A positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills are essential.

This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the first step into the trade, with clear progression into a structured apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £30.00-£80.00 per day
