Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete plumbing tasks effectively.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
• Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations where necessary.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repair work.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair work.
• Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques relevant to plumbing tasks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of carpentry principles related to plumbing installations is desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence for commercial driving is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
