PLUMBING DESIGNER / DETAILER (ORANGE COUNTY)

Major plumbing contractor needs experienced plumbing/piping detailer. Candidates must have a solid understanding of residential single & multi-family plumbing and piping systems. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of AutoCAD 2012 (or higher) and QuickPen 3D Pipe Designer. Construction and design experience a plus.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

1) Design and layout plumbing flat and isometric drawings for field installation within plumbing specialty and code.

2) Complete plumbing calculations including sanitary waste, water supply, natural gas systems, storm and equipment sizes.

3) Design plumbing systems including sanitary waste, vent, storm, gas systems, domestic water distribution systems.

4) Designs and sizes basic plumbing system components to include plumbing drains and equipment based on Cal Green and plumbing code.

5) Follow department work process and design standards. Other duties as assigned.
