Plumbing Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Plumbing Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Manage incoming service requests via multi-line phone systems and online platforms, ensuring prompt and professional communication with customers.
• Schedule plumbing appointments by coordinating technician availability, parts inventory, and customer preferences using transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation planning tools to optimize routing and dispatching of plumbing technicians across multiple locations.
• Track and update dispatch logs, freight movements, and shipping & receiving records with accuracy through data entry in AS400 or similar systems.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials needed for scheduled jobs.
• Monitor fleet management systems to assign appropriate vehicles for each service call, maintaining efficient transportation management practices.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle customer inquiries professionally while managing multiple priorities seamlessly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching within logistics, transportation management, or plumbing service environments.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data from GIS, GPS, and transportation management systems for effective decision-making.
• Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400 platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management principles.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for engaging with customers and team members alike.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and multi-line phone systems to handle high-volume calls efficiently.
