Plumbing Foreman – MEP Company

The Plumbing Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating plumbing installation activities on construction sites for MEP projects. The role ensures all plumbing works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and local authority regulations. The Plumbing Foreman leads site teams and ensures quality workmanship throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily plumbing works at project sites.
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Assign tasks and manage plumbers, pipe fitters, and helpers efficiently.
• Ensure installation of water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and piping systems as per approved drawings and standards.
• Monitor work progress and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, and other MEP trades to avoid site conflicts.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure proper implementation of health and safety procedures on-site.
• Assist in pressure testing, flushing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records.
• Identify and resolve technical and installation issues on-site.
• Monitor material usage and coordinate material requirements with the store/site engineer.
• Train and guide plumbing technicians and workers to improve productivity and workmanship.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI certification in Plumbing, Mechanical, or related trade.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP/construction projects.
• Proven experience as a Plumbing Foreman in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and safety standards.
• Ability to read plumbing and coordination drawings.
• Familiarity with local plumbing codes and authority regulations.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams and meet project deadlines.
