Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable heating solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to modify or assemble components as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their heating needs and provide expert advice on system upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing, mechanical installation, or heating engineering.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and carpentry skills.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and mechanical principles related to heating systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to system installation.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving if required for transporting equipment or materials.
- Knowledge of assembly processes relevant to heating components.
- Experience with working in commercial environments is desirable but not essential. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety standards and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.
