Plumbing & Heating Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Manager to lead the Plumbing & Heating department at our Ladbroke Grove branch. This is a hands-on role in a busy merchant environment, where product knowledge, customer relationships, and commercial awareness all matter.

You’ll be joining a supportive branch team within Lords Builders Merchants, with the opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career as part of a successful and expanding group.

What you’ll be doing

Leading the day-to-day running of the Plumbing & Heating department
Building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
Driving sales growth through excellent service and product knowledge
Managing stock levels, ordering, and product availability
Providing expert advice across plumbing and heating products and solutions
Working with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and availability
Ensuring the department operates safely and in line with company standards
Supporting and motivating the wider branch team

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in plumbing sales within a merchanting environment (essential)
Supervisory or management experience
Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating products and systems
A commercial mindset with a customer-focused approach
Confidence working in a fast-paced branch environment
Experience with stock control and department management
A positive, team-focused attitude
Eligibility to work in the UK

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays
