Plumbing Helper Apprentice

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in plumbing. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience and learning the essential skills needed in the plumbing industry. This role involves assisting with various plumbing tasks and projects while developing your technical abilities.

Duties

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand plumbing layouts and specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Conduct field service tasks, including troubleshooting plumbing issues at client locations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Learn to apply basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths and fittings.
• Support HVAC-related tasks as needed, gaining exposure to heating and cooling systems.

Skills

• Proficient in blueprint reading to effectively understand plumbing designs.
• Ability to assemble various plumbing components using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in diagnosing plumbing issues.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Experience as a maintenance person or familiarity with general maintenance tasks is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and techniques in the plumbing field.
