GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
At Stancil Services, our plumbing division relies on skilled field professionals who bring accuracy, craftsmanship, and consistency to each phase of construction.
The Plumbing Laborer supports plumbing crews in all phases of new residential plumbing installation, including slab, rough-in, and trim work. This role assists with material handling, site preparation, installation support, and cleanup to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The Plumbing Laborer works under the direction of a foreman contributes to maintaining a productive and organized job site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Slab Phase Support

Assist with layout, measuring, and placement of underground plumbing

Transport and stage materials, tools, and equipment

Support pipe cutting, fitting, and installation under supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe work area during slab preparation and installation
Rough-In Phase Support

Assist with installation of water, drain, and vent piping
- Help mount fixtures and supports as directed

Load, unload, and organize materials on-site

Follow installation instructions and safety guidelines
Trim Phase Support

Assist with installation of fixtures, trim components, and final connections
- Support testing and inspection preparation

Help with punch-list items and final job cleanup
General Duties
- Identify upcoming material needs and communicate shortages or issues to supervision.

Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper spacing and integration of mechanical systems.

Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Stancil safety protocols.

Operate plumbing tools and equipment with proficiency.

Provide clear progress updates to the foreman and field manager.
- Protect jobsite property and maintain professional interactions at all times.

Learn and comply to Stancil reference guide on installs

Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent (GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, or foreign equivalent).

2–4 years of plumbing or rough-in experience preferred.

Strong understanding of rough-in processes, materials, codes, and installation standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing diagrams.
- Proficient with plumbing hand tools and power tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical ability to perform strenuous fieldwork.

Valid driver’s license for 3+ years and insurable on company policy.

Willingness to continue developing technical skill and field knowledge.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

Work is performed on active construction sites.

Exposure to heat above 90°F, cold below 32°F, moisture, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and lifting.

Must be able to lift and carry 75+ pounds regularly.

Work may occur in crawl spaces, attics, trenches, confined spaces, or elevated areas.

Noise levels range from moderate to loud depending on jobsite activity.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
- Hand tools such as pipe cutters, crimp tools, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, tape measures, levels, and utility knives.

Power tools include drills, impacts, saws, threaders, plumbing snakes (with proper training), jackhammer, cameras and sewer algers.

Jobsite support equipment: ladders, carts, dollies, and material-handling tools.

Required PPE: hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, high-visibility vest.

Company-issued technology as needed for jobsite communication or documentation.
