A reputable and expanding commercial plumbing contractor in the Fort Worth, Texas area is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Operations Superintendent to provide leadership for field operations and support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This position is responsible for overseeing onsite activities, directing field personnel, coordinating trade partners, and ensuring plumbing installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive commercial plumbing experience, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to drive productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plumbing construction activities across multiple active project sites.
- Lead and support Foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives, schedules, and quality standards are achieved.
- Provide technical guidance on plumbing installations, construction methods, and field execution strategies.
- Review underground systems, rough-in work, piping layouts, dimensions, and installation progress before inspections and critical construction milestones.
- Assist with manpower forecasting, crew scheduling, labor allocation, and workforce planning.
- Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, inventory management, and jobsite logistics to support uninterrupted operations.
- Manage company equipment, tools, vehicles, and field resources to ensure proper utilization and maintenance.
- Perform quality assurance inspections and verify timely completion of punch-list items and corrective actions.
- Support project inspections, pressure testing, startup procedures, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor workforce productivity, installation progress, and overall project performance.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and all jobsite safety requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, General Contractors, inspectors, suppliers, and trade partners to facilitate project success.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, field logs, progress updates, RFIs, and other operational records.
- Promote professional, safe, and organized jobsite conditions across all assigned projects.
- Identify and communicate project risks, equipment concerns, safety issues, and material shortages to management in a timely manner.
QualificationsTechnical & Operational Expertise
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, sanitary waste systems, water distribution systems, and natural gas piping installations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, construction plans, and technical project documents.
- Comprehensive understanding of plumbing regulations, building codes, OSHA requirements, and industry safety standards.
- Experience coordinating field operations, labor resources, materials, and project schedules.
- Strong understanding of construction workflows and jobsite management practices.
- Proficiency in field reporting, documentation, and project communication processes.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five or more years of experience in commercial plumbing construction, field leadership, operations supervision, or related construction management roles.
- Previous experience as a Plumbing Superintendent, Senior Foreman, Field Supervisor, Lead Plumber, or similar leadership position strongly preferred.
- Plumbing licenses, trade certifications, and industry credentials are considered beneficial.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
