About the Role: As a Plumbing Sales Consultant, you will listen to the needs of customers, working with them to determine the best new equipment to meet their needs. Plumbing Sales Consultant Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with residential customers in person, over the phone, and via email to understand their plumbing needs and offer suitable solutions.
  • Conduct thorough in-home plumbing evaluations, including inspection of fixtures, water heaters, piping, drains, and water quality systems.

  • Identify issues such as leaks, aging infrastructure, inefficiencies, or code concerns, and recommend repairs, replacements, or upgrades.

  • Present and explain plumbing solutions clearly, including scope of work, pricing options, warranties, and financing where applicable.

  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of recommended solutions (safety, efficiency, longevity, water savings).

  • Prepare accurate proposals, estimates, and sales agreements aligned with company standards.

  • Partner closely with plumbing technicians and installation teams to ensure smooth project handoff and high customer satisfaction.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business, referrals, and long-term loyalty.

  • Proactively follow up on leads, unsold estimates, and referral opportunities.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing products, local codes, and industry best practices.

  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance expectations.

  • Accurately document customer interactions, proposals, and pipeline activity in the CRM.

  • Participate in ongoing sales training, team meetings, and professional development.

  • Support marketing initiatives by executing promotions, campaigns, and lead follow-up strategies.


Plumbing Sales Consultant Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in plumbing sales, preferably within the residential sector.
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical knowledge of plumbing systems, products, and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Persuasive and confident presentation skills, able to clearly articulate complex plumbing concepts to homeowners.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
