Position Summary

The Residential Plumbing Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing service and repair tasks in residential settings. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the company professionally in customers’ homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a company-provided service vehicle to perform residential plumbing services
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems efficiently
• Perform drain cleaning services
• Repair and replace water heaters
• Install and repair faucets, toilets, and fixtures
• Complete water and sewer service line repairs and replacements
• Perform gas line service and repairs
• Solder copper piping up to 2 inches
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience required (5+ years preferred)
• Extensive experience in residential plumbing service and repair
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Basic HVAC knowledge is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and professional
• Must pass a drug screening
• Must supply own hand tools

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Standard 8-hour shifts
• Overtime opportunities available as needed
• No weekend work required

Work Environment

This is an in-person position based out of Portsmouth, VA. Technicians will travel to residential job sites throughout the service area.
