Plumbing Technician

Job Description:

Looking for a skilled and dependable Plumbing Mechanic to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate has experience in both service and installation, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of professionalism and reliability on every job.

This position plays a key role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and functionality of plumbing systems throughout NYC’s commercial and residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, sanitary, and storm piping systems.
• Perform rough-in, finish work, and fixture installations for commercial and residential projects.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and pressure issues with precision and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and DOB plumbing codes.
• Collaborate with apprentices, supervisors, and dispatchers to complete jobs safely and on schedule.
• Complete all job documentation accurately in ServiceTitan.
• Maintain company tools, vehicle, and materials with care and accountability.
• Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
• Uphold all NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) and DEP compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience in NYC (commercial and/or residential).
• Proficient in NYC Plumbing Codes and safety procedures.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• FDNY F-60/G-60 certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Plumber License a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead or mentor apprentices.
