Plumbing Trainer & Assessor

Focus Training is looking for an experienced Plumbing Trainer & Assessor with the appropriate teaching and assessing awards to work delivering bespoke programmes & apprenticeships. The successful candidate will be based in our newly developed Bristol Centre.

We are dedicated to service a range of industries and job roles, offering training and also employment opportunities. Focus Training consistently delivers exceptional quality apprenticeship and short course training across four dedicated centres in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and Redruth.

You will be required to teach and assess our apprentices to achieve Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician.

Based in the Bristol Centre you will be responsible for classroom teaching and site assessments with learners, assessing their portfolio of evidence and ensuring the learner is fully prepared to sit their End Point Assessment.

Full mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.

You will need a positive, flexible attitude and good IT skills as all learner portfolios are electronic. Good communication and motivation skills are essential to be able to work both one to one with learners and in groups when required.

A teaching and assessing qualification will be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful applicant will need to be qualified to NVQ level 3 in plumbing and ACS accreditation would be advantageous, and must hold WRAS and unvented qualifications.

Extensive Plumbing experience is required with a minimum of 5 years on the tools.An Enhanced DBS check will be required.

Pay: £37,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
