Job Description
We are a fast-paced, high-energy sushi restaurant looking for a reliable and friendly Server to join our team! If you have a passion for Japanese cuisine and love providing top-notch hospitality in a "Texas-friendly" environment, we want to meet you.
Schedule (Evening Shifts)
We are specifically looking for someone available to work the Dinner Shift on the following days:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
- (Closed/Off: Thursdays & Sundays)
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet guests with a smile and provide excellent dining experiences.
- Menu Knowledge: Explain our sushi rolls, sashimi, and kitchen entrees (and help guests with sake/drink pairings).
- Order Management: Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Side Work: Table setup, refilling ginger/soy sauce, and maintaining a clean dining area.
- Teamwork: Coordinate with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.
Requirements
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant preferred (Sushi experience is a plus!).
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during the dinner rush.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) TABC and Food Handler certifications.
- Strong communication skills and a "can-do" attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: Up to $29.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
