Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and support. Must have both Washington and Texas License/DEA ACTIVE.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiological systems.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for mental health diagnoses.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to psychiatric evaluations.
- Ability to effectively participate in discharge planning processes.
