PMO Analyst Consultant

1099 Contract Opportunity

Onsite Position: Whippany, NJ

We have a client seeking a motivated and data-driven PMO Analyst to join their IT Transformation Office team and assist in the coordination, management, and analysis of their IT portfolio of projects globally and provide Project Management skills to deliver a Financial management system.

In this role, you will work closely with product, project and program managers across their IT organization to promote IT best practices and governance processes, ensuring effective communication across the organization.

Experience implementing Anaplan desired. Experience using Jira required.

1099 Contract Position for 9-10 months (with potential of extension).

Position Responsibilities:

Portfolio Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize portfolio data from various sources to generate comprehensive reports on portfolio status, performance metrics, and key indicators.
  • Develop and maintain standardized dashboards and reporting tools to provide timely insights to the PMO team.
  • Identify trends and potential issues through data analysis and proactively communicate them to the PMO team.
  • Contribute to the analysis of portfolio data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Assist teams in maintaining and updating their project data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on our IT Portfolio Dashboard.
  • Assist in organizing portfolio review meetings and presentations, providing clear and concise updates on portfolio performance.

PMO Best Practices

  • Work with all IT teams to ensure proper understanding of PMO methodologies, processes and available resources.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the PMO processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain project management documentation and best practices.
  • As a member of the Transformation Office, perform additional tasks as needed to advance our department goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years’ proven experience in varied project management methodologies, tools, and practices in a PMO environment, preferably in a senior analyst role.
  • 4-5 years’ experience working with data and analytics projects and tools.
  • 4-5 years experience working with Portfolio Financials.
  • 4-5 years experience in process improvement and standardization within a project management context.
  • Possess strong understanding of Portfolio Financials.
  • Strong Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from project data.
  • Reporting and Visualization Skills: Ability to create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports and presentations.
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals and recognize key stakeholders and develop tactics to effectively implement change.
  • Ability to take initiative, drive projects forward and suggest solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders across different time zones and locations. Proficient English is required.
  • Collaboration: strong interpersonal skills; focus on teamwork where cooperation, flexibility and dependability are key; assumes positive intentions from others and resolves disagreements constructively and diplomatically.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw informed conclusions.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software, data analysis tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to navigate and leverage available resources, tools, and technologies to achieve objectives and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
