The PMO Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for the health, standards, and profitability of Plative’s global project portfolio. You will oversee a high-performing team of Project Managers delivering complex Salesforce and NetSuite transformations. Candidates for this role should possess strong platform implementation and delivery experience (preferably Salesforce.com and/or NetSuite) and integration capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide visible leadership, accountability, and authority over high profile, enterprise-level projects. The PMO Director will also be responsible for managing, mentoring and coaching a team of project managers and ensuring a structured and consistent project management practice across our delivery engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Leadership
- Executive Oversight: Provide senior leadership and accountability for a diverse portfolio of enterprise-level ($1M+) Salesforce and NetSuite implementations.
- Strategic Escalation: Serve as the ultimate point of contact for client executives, ensuring long-term partnership health and resolving complex delivery roadblocks.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Lead cross-functional resource alignment to optimize utilization and balance project priorities across the global delivery team.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee portfolio-wide financial health, including budget accuracy, margin protection, and rigorous project auditing.
PMO Operational Excellence
- Methodology Governance: Standardize and evolve Plative’s delivery framework, blending Agile and Waterfall best practices to ensure a consistent, world-class client experience.
- Continuous Improvement: Architect and maintain the PMO "toolkit"—including templates, automation in project management tools, and reporting dashboards.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize internal tools (Jira, Smartsheet, etc.) to generate actionable insights on project health, team velocity, and delivery risks for the executive leadership team.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Talent Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of high-level Project Managers across the Salesforce and NetSuite practices.
- Performance Coaching: Foster a culture of professional growth through structured mentoring, certification pathways, and performance management.
- Change Management: Champion internal adoption of new processes and tools to ensure the delivery team remains agile and efficient.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a professional services or management consulting firm.
- Scale: Proven track record of overseeing portfolios exceeding $5M+ and managing individual enterprise projects valued at $1M+.
- Technical Foundation: 5+ years of experience with mid-to-enterprise scale technology implementations (Salesforce, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP/CRM).
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence C-Suite stakeholders.
- Tool Expertise: Expert-level command of enterprise work management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Mavenlink, FinancialForce) and financial reporting.
Desired Qualifications
- Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of the Salesforce and NetSuite ecosystems.
- Credentials: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM/SAFe) certifications are highly preferred.
- Platform Certifications: Multiple Salesforce or NetSuite certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, NetSuite ERP Consultant).
