POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic Podcast Host & Video Editor to lead the creation, production, and distribution of high-quality podcast and video content across our platforms.

This role is equal parts on-camera personality and post-production expert. You will be responsible for hosting engaging podcast episodes, shaping compelling narratives, and transforming long-form content into high-performing video assets that drive audience growth, engagement, and brand authority.

You’ll play a key role in amplifying our online education platform and brain-based health and therapy platform by turning ideas into impactful content that educates, inspires, and converts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OUTCOMES

1. Podcast Hosting & Content Creation

• Host and lead podcast episodes with a confident, engaging, and authentic on-camera presence.
• Develop episode concepts, themes, and content aligned with audience interests and brand strategy.
• Research topics and prepare interview frameworks, talking points, and scripts.
• Book, coordinate, and manage guest interviews (industry experts, practitioners, etc.).
• Deliver high-quality recordings with strong storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.
• Ensure each episode aligns with key themes: workforce readiness, health and performance, and personal growth.

2. Video Editing & Content Production

• Edit podcast episodes (audio + video) for clarity, pacing, and professional quality.
• Create compelling long-form video content for YouTube and platform use.
• Produce short-form content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) from podcast episodes.
• Add intros/outros, captions, graphics, music, and visual enhancements.
• Optimize content for each platform (format, length, hooks, engagement).
• Maintain consistent visual and brand standards across all media.

3. Content Distribution & Channel Management

• Publish and manage content across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and podcast platforms.
• Collaborate with marketing to execute content promotion strategies.
• Turn podcast episodes into multi-channel assets:
• Short-form clips
• Social media campaigns
• Email content
• Support SEO and discoverability strategies through content optimization.

4. Content Strategy & Growth

• Help shape the content calendar and content roadmap.
• Identify trends, topics, and formats that drive audience growth and engagement.
• Repurpose long-form content into scalable content systems.
• Contribute ideas to improve audience retention, subscriber growth, and engagement.

5. Analytics & Optimization

• Track performance metrics across podcast and video platforms (views, watch time, engagement, conversions).
• Use analytics and audience feedback to refine content strategy.
• Continuously improve video structure, hooks, and storytelling based on performance data.
• Report on what content is working and recommend areas to scale.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3+ years of experience in podcasting, video production, content creation, or media.
• Strong on-camera presence with excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut).
• Experience with audio editing tools (e.g., Audition, GarageBand, or similar).
• Deep understanding of short-form and long-form content strategies.
• Ability to manage content from concept through final production.
• Strong attention to detail in both storytelling and editing.

PREFERRED / BONUS SKILLS

• Experience growing a podcast, YouTube channel, or personal brand.
• Familiarity with content platforms and tools (YouTube Studio, Spotify, Riverside, etc.).
• Basic graphic design or motion graphics skills.
• Experience in education, wellness, or creator-driven platforms.
