Podiatrist Director

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Podiatrist Director to lead our podiatry services with passion and precision. Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical protocols for foot and ankle care, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support podiatry staff to promote professional growth, high performance, and team cohesion.
  • Oversee patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with healthcare policies such as HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as orthopedics, vascular interventional radiology, dermatology, and physical therapy to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives based on clinical research data and patient feedback to elevate service standards.
  • Ensure all staff maintain proficiency in essential skills such as suturing, wound care, diabetic foot management, and biomechanical assessments.
  • Promote patient service excellence by fostering a welcoming environment focused on compassionate care and education about foot health.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of podiatric medicine combined with familiarity in related specialties such as orthopedics, dermatology, endocrinology, and vascular interventional radiography.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems including Epic and other medical imaging software for diagnostic evaluation and treatment documentation.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing clinical teams in inpatient or outpatient settings within hospital or clinic environments.
  • Skilled in medical office management, CPT coding for procedures like debridement or bunion surgery, and medical records documentation.
  • Expertise in advanced podiatric procedures such as wound care management, diabetic foot ulcer treatment, perioperative care, and minimally invasive surgeries.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to foot disorders alongside physiology principles related to musculoskeletal health.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic radiology tools like CT scans for complex cases involving bone or soft tissue abnormalities.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary approaches involving cardiology for vascular assessments or endocrinology for diabetes-related foot issues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through clinical research participation or staying current with emerging treatments like botulinum toxin therapy or regenerative medicine techniques.
