The VA North Texas Health Care System is seeking a Podiatrist (Whole Health Clinical Director) within Whole Health/Ambulatory Care Services. As Clinical Director for Integrative Health and Wellness Programs, the Podiatrist will partner with the facility Whole Health Program Manager to provide vision, planning, administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for the implementation of the Whole Health System of Care across VANTXHCS.

The Whole Health Clinical Director develops and executes a WH business plan for VANTHCS. Provides vision, planning, administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for the implementation of the Whole Health System of Care, including facilitation of broader Office of Patient-Centered Care and Cultural Transformation initiatives to ensure achievement of the clinical, research, education goals, and associated outcome evaluations.
Maintains inventory of Complementary and Integrative Health approaches offered at VHA facility, including gap analysis as it relates to CIH approaches that must be offered by VA/community per Directive 1137.
Develops and provides ongoing analysis of relevant performance measures for this initiative. Surveys and identifies staff training needs to enhance knowledge and provide guidance on appropriate use of Whole Health resources, distributed funds, and strategic planning input.
Works in collaboration with clinical service chiefs and other allied health and ancillary support staff to assure quality care and advanced access to Integrative Health and Wellness Programs across the facility.
Performs clinical work to include asses, diagnose and treat patients in ambulatory clinics at VANTHCS. Uses advanced clinical knowledge to lead and promote staff involvement in planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions that will affect patient or service/system outcomes.
Manage and plan how services are delivered and contribute to annual strategic planning, influencing and responding to organizational priorities and working with the Executive Team/ appropriate Service Chiefs, Whole Health Program Manager, and Whole Health Steering Committee.
Occupies the lead supervisory role within the Whole Health Program and provides leadership to the staff aligned under the service.
Ensures that all business operations and health information practices within the Whole Health program are being measured for quantity and quality of the work performed, and conducted in continuing compliance with the laws, regulations and standards which govern those activities, the reasonable expectations of VHA's business partners, and the highest standards of Compliance and Business Integrity.
The incumbent will directly report to the ACOS, Ambulatory Care Service. Works in conjunction with Chief, Quality Management, Continuous Readiness Coordinator, Service Chiefs and others regarding Ambulatory Care compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (CAP, The Joint Commission, OIG, etc.). The position focus is in areas of clinical management, provider practices, and continued readiness regarding the delivery of quality medical care.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Basic Requirements:
Applicants must possess a doctor of podiatric medicine degree, or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in podiatric medicine and surgery. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed.
