The target hourly rate for the Police Investigative Assistant is $19.75; depending on qualifications

The target hourly rate for the Police Investigative Assistant, Senior is $21.78; depending on qualifications

Job Details

Position Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The selected candidate will be working in the office with the Financial, Burglary and Vehicle Crimes units. A primary duty of this position will be electronically filing cases with the respective county agency utilizing numerous programs to compile the case assets. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the financial crimes unit with drafting Court Orders for detectives’ review and signature, obtaining a District Judge signature, attaching signed copy into the case and sending the Court Order to the respective agency. The candidate is then responsible for following-up on the agency responses, reviewing returned records and assisting with next step decisions. A successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate, interact professionally with co-workers, the public and outside agencies, work independently and make appropriate decisions. We are looking for a motivated self-starter team member who wants to make a difference and provide outstanding police services here at the Plano Police Department and in the lives of fraud and forgery victims.
