Police Officer Recruit

The Hillsdale Police Department is looking for a qualified applicant for the position of Police Officer. The position does not require applicants to be certified Police Officers as the successful candidate will be sent to a Police Academy. Prior education in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice is preferred, however not required. Applicants will be required to pass the required physical agility and reading/writing skills comprehension tests administered by MCOLES prior to hiring. Applicants must be a resident of Michigan and possess a valid Michigan driver’s license. An extensive background check that includes criminal history and driving record will be conducted. Successful candidates will then be required to pass a medical physical, drug screen and psychological exam.
