The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Police Records Specialist.We invite you to join the high-performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Police Records Specialist for the Police Department. This position is responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Police Department; and provides responsive, courteous, and efficient customer service in support of departmental operations.If you have a desire to serve the community, we encourage you to apply.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL: Serve as police records custodian and prepare specialized files and documents utilizing prescribed methods.Provide customer service to internal and external customers on a daily basis. This includes addressing and resolving customer questions as able, and referring complex inquiries, requests or complaints to appropriate staff.Perform case review and validation; upload case reports into records management system; verify accuracy of report and classification submittal to the State; and maintain availability and confidentiality of Police records.Prepare incoming court subpoenas; perform court liaison duties including preparing documents for the offices of the County Attorney and Town Prosecutor.Conduct and provide copies of police reports and record checks.Enter warrants into ACJIS sent over from the Prescott Valley Magistrate Court, create tracking slip and send folder for filing into Dispatch.
