Overall Position Objective:
We are looking for someone to support the Public Affairs and Communications departments in advocacy, communications, marketing, and policy initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
This position is authorized to work a hybrid schedule.

Essential Duties:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to legislative activity, public policy trends, stakeholder engagement, marketing performance, and media coverage.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support communications, advocacy campaigns, and brand awareness strategies.
- Translate complex data into compelling messaging and storytelling for use in marketing materials, public-facing reports, presentations, and digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to develop data-informed content that resonates with target audiences and supports advocacy goals.
- Assist in shaping strategic messaging based on audience segmentation, digital engagement metrics, and public sentiment analysis.
- Maintain and improve data systems related to government relations, grassroots campaigns, stakeholder outreach, and digital marketing analytics.
- Support the tracking of legislation, committee activity, and policymaker positions relevant to the organization’s priorities.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for press releases, newsletters, campaigns, and marketing collateral using accurate and persuasive data insights.
- Monitor media, legislative, regulatory, and marketing trends to provide timely analysis and recommendations.
- Help develop and maintain stakeholder databases, contact lists, policy calendars, and campaign performance reports.
- Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and feedback sessions to support ongoing departmental needs.
- Models behavior and practices that value diversity and incorporate inclusive and culturally competent practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Policy, Communications, Political Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 4 years’ experience in marketing, public affairs, communications, or legislative work, with at least 3 years collecting and interpreting data analytics.
- Experience working with government stakeholders and/or advocacy organizations.
- Experience working in a government agency, nonprofit, lobbying firm, legislative office, or public affairs consultancy preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Excel, Power BI, Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
- Familiarity with legislative tracking tools and CRM systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives and marketing assets.
- Experience with marketing tools and strategies for digital storytelling, brand building, and audience engagement preferred.
- Knowledge of the legislative process.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in keeping with the policies and objectives within the departments and the OSB.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to the concept of teamwork and cross-responsibility within a department.
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,805.68 - $92,230.32 per year
