Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pond Builder to join our team and bring aquatic landscapes to life! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining beautiful ponds and water features that enhance outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help transform client visions into stunning realities, combining technical skill with creative craftsmanship. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of construction skills to create tranquil, functional water environments.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute pond designs and water features.
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to excavate, shape, and prepare sites for pond installation.
  • Install plumbing systems, electrical components, and filtration equipment essential for pond functionality.
  • Build concrete forms, perform concrete finishing, and execute masonry work for pond basins and surrounding structures.
  • Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, plastering, stucco, and trim carpentry to ensure a polished appearance.
  • Conduct construction inspections throughout each phase to maintain quality standards and safety compliance.
  • Fabricate custom components and install hardscape elements like rocks, decking, or retaining walls to enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction processes.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and glass installation techniques efficiently for precise craftsmanship.
  • Perform restoration work or remodeling as needed to update or repair existing water features.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on outdoor projects or water features.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators or loaders is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and inspection procedures is essential.
  • Prior work involving restoration or hardscape installation is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
