SUMMARY
Pool Attendants are responsible for ensuring the Legacy Lodge pool and deck stay tidy and helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests. The ideal candidate creates a memorable experience for our guests through their attention to detail and care they take in ensuring the pool experience is next to none.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and organize pool deck and furnishings.
- Welcome guests and ensure their safety and comfort.
- Provide guests with towels, shade, refreshments and attend to other requests.
- Enforce safety protocols as set out by the resort.
- Monitor activity of guests and report damage or incidents to supervisor.
- Ensure towels remain stocked throughout the day.
- Wipe down all furniture after washing.
- Clean out all ashtray areas as needed.
- Declutter and remove trash from pool area so that it stays guest ready throughout the day.
- Empty and wash down all trash receptacles around pool areas.
- Pick up all soiled towels in pool area.
- Assist and maintain restrooms.
- Provide assistance to guests throughout the day as needed.
- Make sure pool towels are clean, stocked and folded to standard; must never run out of fresh, clean towels.
- Assist in laundry folding pool towels as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Prior experience working in hotels/resorts preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and communicate either verbal in English or non-verbal methods. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing. Ability to read and interpret general business documents or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
