Position Summary:
Your role is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
- Answer guest questions about the menu, drinks, and the club.
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure guest safety and well-being.
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic mocktails.
- A strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, including ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes.
- Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations, including responsible alcohol service policies (e.g., TABC).
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all drinks, following established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
- Stock and replenish bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar area.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment for staff and guests.
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills that foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a resort setting, preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines and spirits.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service that makes a difference to our Membership.
- TABC required.
Working Conditions:
- You will be working in variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
- You may encounter pool chemicals.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- You may experience variable noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, stooping, bending and twisting for extended periods.
