Pool Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a Pool Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning swimming pools to ensure safety, cleanliness, and optimal operation. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with pool systems, and the ability to perform equipment repairs and routine maintenance. Prior service technician experience is preferred but we are willing to provide training and education reimbursement. Also proficiency with hand tools and power tools are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and chemical balancing of pools to maintain water quality standards
• Inspect pool equipment such as filters, pumps, and chlorinators for proper operation
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks including brushing, vacuuming, skimming, and backwashing filters
• Identify potential issues with pool systems and coordinate with management
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service reports
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance procedures

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must qualify for company insurance).
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather.
• Able to lift 60 lbs.

Experience

• Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is preferred such as a certified pool operator or other pool industry certifications
• Mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment repair and troubleshooting is preferred
• Experience with pool cleaning techniques and chemical treatments is preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
